About Me

AKA The Self-Advocating Autistic

Welcome to my corner of the internet, where I share insights and experiences from my neurodivergent journey in life, career, and holistic health. Here's a glimpse into who I am and what I offer:

  • Professional Background: I hold an MA in Leadership in Workplace Health and multiple coaching diplomas. With over 20 years of experience as a former broker and QFA, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my coaching and consulting practice.

  • Impactful Work: I have a proven track record of implementing adult support and well-being programs for the neurodivergent community, including growing Irelands National Autism Charity well-being support program from 3 to 20 in just four months.

  • Facilitator: I facilitate multiple Peer Support Groups on behalf of Ireland’s National Autism Charity, providing a safe space for self-identified and formally identified Autistic women to navigate their journeys with empathy and acceptance.

  • Career Transition: After being made redundant in 2015, I embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery and retraining. This led me to establish my coaching and consulting business in 2016, specialising in diverse aspects of self-advocacy, career coaching, and well-being consulting.

  • Featured Expertise: My career and well-being advice and strategies have been featured in reputable publications such as the Irish Times, Evoke, Stellar, Thrive Global, and The Independent.

  • Personal Journey: Beyond my professional endeavours, I am a former competitive, natural-trained figure bodybuilding competitor, winning multiple medals and trophies.

  • Advocacy: I am passionate about advocacy and self-expression, so I wrote my Self Advocating Autistic publication on Substack. While I don't seek to monetize my writing, I appreciate any support offered through pledges or contributions via Ko-fi, where a portion goes to charities I support.

  • Consultation: Interested in personalised coaching or consulting sessions? Please reach out via the company email, and I'll be happy to assist you on your journey towards empowerment and well-being.

  • Self-Taught Artist: Art is my outlet to visually express and verbally process my experiences, fostering powerful connections in my self-advocacy efforts for the autistic community. Grateful for discovering my autism at 45, I've dedicated myself to intertwining my creativity with advocacy work. Through my art website and exhibitions, I delve into the depths of my creative self, bolstering both my artistic and autistic confidence while promoting neurodivergent well-being and self-advocacy through lived experience narratives. The Self Advocating Artist Website is now live.

Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!
